Patagonia is one of the most beautiful destinations in the World. It is defined as all of southern Chile and southern Argentina. It is approximately 350,000 square miles is size and has a population of about 1.2 million people. The city of Coyhaique is in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, and is Chile’s flyfishing capital. A three hour flight south from Santiago, Magic Waters Lodge is located about 20 miles southwest of Coyhaique, and a 40 minute drive from the Coyhaique/Balmaceda airport. This is an area of amazing landscapes – mountains, fauna, rivers, and lakes. Magic Waters Lodge provides you the entire scope of flyfishing opportunities - spring creeks, freestone creeks, big rivers, small lagunas and big lakes. The terrain runs from the flat pampas to the rain forests. We fish for wild trout - browns and rainbows, as well as salmon.

We are not the biggest lodge in Chile. We are, however, the ONLY LODGE to provide customized fishing trips for our clients. We don’t have a predetermined fishing plan for you. We talk to you! Your trip is based on your preferences – skill level, wade fishing or drift boats - dry flies, nymphs, or streamers - quantities of fish or sizes of fish. This is truly the flyfishing dream trip!
