Why Chilean Patagonia?

Patagonia is one of the most beautiful destinations in the World. Its a region of south america shared between Chile in the west and Argentina in the east. Coyhaique is in the heart of Chilean Patagonia. At three hours by plane from Santiago, is surrounded by the southern Andes with amazing landscapes and a big variety of fly fishing waters. From small spring creeks in the patagonic pampas to big rivers in the west rain forest and all of this at not more than one hour far from our lodge. That provides us the opportunity to have every day a different kind of fishing for big resident brown and raimbow trouts.

Clients Experience

I was fortunate enough to spend two weeks fishing with Eduardo in Patagonia, Chile in January 2009. We fished different water every single day, and all were productive. Whether your passion is flyfishing still or moving water, Eduardo can accomodate you. We fished all types of water and allwithin a hour of our cabin. Anyone interested in catching large numbers of big browns on dry flies in beautiful surroundings should seriously consider this trip. ...and the food is amazing too!!

It was one of the best things I have ever done in my life, Eduardo is a excellent fisher man and a great guy to be around. He knows where and how to but people on the fish. We spent 6 weeks fishing all the Coyhaique Area visiting dreamest places. I really can not say just how great that trip was. If you want to go and have the best time of your life and catch lots of fish, Eduardo is the one to call.

Eduardo‘s patience, humor and good guidance led me to catch my first trout flyfishing. I‘m a beginner, but Eduardo was able to give me two simple, solid tips that I think really made me get the feel of a proper cast. How often does a payback come so quickly?

Patagonia Chile was a fishing destination that I had always wanted to pursue. The biggest obstacle was finding lodging, transportation and a reliable guide. During my investigation into a trip of this nature, one of my fishing friends recommended that I contact Eduardo Barrueto of Coyhaique, Chile. Through e-mails arrangements were made with Eduardo to help us in our pursuit of fishing in Patagonia. My fishing partner and I decided to throw caution to the wind and make the trip. We both felt that with Eduardo‘s help, we had one of the best fishing trips we had ever taken. Eduardo‘s knowledge of the local rivers, lagunas, and lagos was outstanding. We had 30 days of continuous fishing and were introduced to the Chilean people and culture through Eduardo and his family. They made our trip a totally rewarding experience of a lifetime
